ABOUT DARCIE AND ME
Following a BA (Hons) Degree, a career in logistics management within a well established luxury fashion industry and the birth of our daughter Darcie, I knew that a change was required so that we could spend more time bonding and having fun. With the creation of the business Darcie and Me I am able to do exactly that, whilst re-purposing furniture that would otherwise be thrown away and teaching others new skills
What We dO
Handcrafted Furniture & Commisions
We up-cycle, refurbish and re-purpose furniture that would otherwise be thrown away. They are sold from our workshop within Frome and as we are the frenchic stockist for Frome, Midsomer Norton Radstock and surrounding areas we of course use our fabulous paint and accessories
If you have a much loved item that needs refreshing just doesn't fit in your home but you can't bear to part with it ... help is at hand. We liaise with you to understand your vision and produce a piece of furniture that will last many more years.

Frenchic Stockists, Painted Furniture, Feature Wall Designs & Accessories
We are stockists and distributors of Frenchic® In Frome, Midsomer Norton Radstock and surrounding areas for paints and accessories. An all-natural, eco-friendly paint that requires minimal stirring, contains minimal added VOC’s, zero toxins and has virtually no smell, so great for painting indoors! You’ll find that it is creamy, rich and easy to use so is the perfect paint for up-cycling revamps. As an added bonus, Frenchic® Furniture Paint has endured rigorous testing and has been EN:71-3 certified, meaning it is safe to paint children’s toys and nursery furniture. With a lot of imagination, we can paint your walls highlighting your chosen room or the house using Frenchic® ! Just pick your favourite colour palette and we will paint away in different shades.
Workshops
Learn how to use to achieve fantastic results up-cycling your furniture, from prepping your piece through to finishing. Learn in a relaxed and friendly environment and leave with the confidence to tackle your next project but should you need further help I am only a call away.

❌COVID-19 update ❌
We have in place a COVID-19 Risk Assesment and have
increased how often we clean surfaces and ask our customers to use hand sanitiser and wash their hands frequently.
We do ask all our customers to wear face coverings as workshops take place in an indoor space
Where possible weather and temperature dependent we will increase ventilation by keeping doors and windows open where possible .
We have an NHS Test and Trace in place by keeping a record of all our customers for 21 days. Some exemptions apply.
We will turn customers with coronavirus symptoms away. If we (or someone in our household) or a customer has a persistent cough, a high temperature or has lost their sense of taste or smell, they should be isolating.
During this time Workshops will only be held for one customer at a time or two customers if from the same household.
We understand there are a lot of changes and rules to follow but please be patient and kind!
